3.504 Energetica modules in use at the Pitztaler Glacier

Europe’s highest photovoltaic power plant is located at Austria’s Pitztaler Glacier at an altitude of approximately 3000 metres above sea level. Since the summer of 2015, 3504 Energetica modules and 57 SolarEdge power inverters have been commissioned and are generating power .

The plant operates with an electrical output of one MWpeak and achieves a yearly electrical yield of approx. 1.450.000 kWh, which equals the energy consumption of 420 households.

The photovoltaic power plant produces one third of the energy needed for the ski resort, is environmentally friendly and with dependable Energetica quality.
